BRIEFING – MIAMI
26 Laps
40.5+ Liters suggested. Always check with your own driving
1.55 Liters per lap

- Purple zone ends just after turn 8. The chicane as many of you have probably worked out can be cut quite a lot. We have decided to go with iracing off tracks here because looking back at everyone’s laps for race and qualifying just isn’t feasible.
- Couple of important points!
- It’s not necessarily quicker to jump the chicane! See the screen shot below. The screen shot below is a 1.47.7 from practice without cutting it.
- If you cut the chicane and lose it and cause a big accident that’s at your own risk and expect a big penalty like DSQ or starting from the pits the following race.
- 95% of people are going to be quicker not jumping the chicane. There is a certain way to do it. It’s not easy to do and even if you do know how to do it it’s very risky on race fuel every lap.
- It’s highly recommended not to try and overtake through this section the whole race including lapping cars. Lapped cars please be aware of blue flags and judge whether you need to let people through on the straight before or after the chicane section.
- If you have spun and are blocking the track in the chicane section please tow back to the pits unless it’s safe to carry on. We dont want big pile ups of cars crashed in that section.
- The pit exit comes straight out onto the racing line. Please be careful of this during qualifying and particularly during the race.
