Racing Tips
Chicane 1: Prima Variante (Turn 1 Left, Turn 2 Right), and
Chicane 2: Variante della Roggia (Turn 4 Left, Turn 5 Right)
These are obvious passing places but they are also very narrow and dangerous, especially at race start. Follow the general recommendations below and we will have great races. Ignore them and people will complain about accidents.
Turns 6 and 7 Right: Lesmo 1 and 2
No passing here. Side by side will cost a lot of time to both cars.
Turns 8, 9, and 10: Variante Ascari
This looks like a good passing place but it is actually not. Short braking into a fast chicane with the car being thrown right and left across the track. Side by side is dangerous and very often leads to contact. It is usually better, and safer, to attack elsewhere on the track.
Turn 11 Right: Parabolica
Probably the safest passing zone of the track. Just remember to avoid dive bombing and to leave sufficient room for side by side racing.
There are two options here:
The second option usually is safer and faster but the first one is fine in specific circumstances.
